Kite Beach – Sal Cape Verde is the island’s main kitesurfing hub, located just minutes from town. It offers onshore winds with a mix of flat and small choppy water, making it ideal for beginners and intermediate riders. This is also where we start our downwinder activity. Ponta Leme sits on the southeastern side of Santa Maria bay. It delivers flatter water and small to medium waves, with reliable offshore winds ideal for intermediate kiters and windsurfers seeking consistent conditions.
Ponta Sino Kite Beach is located on the southwestern tip of Santa Maria and offers a quieter alternative for kitesurfers. The spot features side shore to slightly offshore winds and small to medium waves, depending on the swell.
